Kenda Morrison, Ph.D., BCBA-D
Behavior Analyst
Dr. Morrison has used ABA to help well over 100 children who have autism and their families since 1989. Her early work was completed at the Early Childhood Autism Program in Lawrence, KS. Additionally, she received traineeships at the UCLA Young Autism Project and Princeton Child Development Institute. She has been in private practice since 1995. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Morrison is an adjunct faculty member at the University of North Texas.
Dr. Morrison received a Ph.D. in Developmental and Child Psychology in 1999. While at the University of Kansas, she taught the course, "Behavioral Treatment of Children with Autism" for 3 years. In 2000, Dr. Morrison was the first person in Kansas to pass the test to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). In 2009, she applied for, and met the requirements to become a BCBA-Doctoral level. This is the highest certification level bestowed by the Behavior Analysis Certification Board. Dr. Morrison was also Kansas-certified in Early Childhood Special Education between 1995-2006, but allowed this to lapse when the renewal requirements changed.
Dr. Morrison has published studies in "Research in Developmental Disabilities" and the "Journal of Experimental Child Psychology", both peer-reviewed journals. She has presented research at the Association for Behavior Analysis-International conference, as well as providing in-services, workshops, and consultations throughout Kansas and several other states.
